Chamber of Commerce to Host Candidate Forum Prior to Special Election in the 24th District Congressional Race

The Government Relations Committee of the Chamber of Commerce serving Lexington, Buena Vista and Rockbridge County will host a Candidate Forum prior to the special election taking place on December 18, 2018.  This special election will fill the 24th District Congressional seat left vacant when Ben Cline was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives on November 7, 2018.  The forum will be led by a moderator, who will pose predetermined questions to the candidates.

All are invited to the Lexington Golf & Country Club on Monday, December 10, 2018. The event will begin at 7:00 p.m. Democratic candidate Christian Worth and Republican candidate Ronnie Campbell, both elected during “firehouse primaries” have been invited and plan to participate.

Audience members will have an opportunity to submit written questions. These questions will be provided to the moderator. If time permits, the moderator may pose some audience questions to the candidates. The audience will not be allowed to interact directly with the candidates during the question-and-answer session, but there will be opportunities to speak with the candidates before and after the Q&A.
