The Lexington- Rockbridge County Chamber of Commerce is a voluntary group of business professionals who work to promote commerce and business and for a better community in which to live and work. Our mission statement is to promote business and commerce in the Lexington - Rockbridge County area. Our Chapter originated in 1937 and is currently made up of 500 businesses and concerned citizens. Our logo is a doorway because we consider ourselves the "Front Door to the Community." Our goals are to work with existing businesses, to help develop new business and to improve the economic climate of the area.

• The Chamber speaks for businesses before governmental bodies on a wide range of issues whether it is local, state, or national.
• The Chamber is dedicated to promoting and retaining a healthy and thriving business climate in our area.
• The Chamber is also dedicated to maintaining the quality of life which makes this area so special to all who live and visit here.
• The Chamber understands and works to maintain a relationship with local school authorities to create a work force that will benefit both the business community and the public at large.
