Marketing Your Business

The Chamber of Commerce Serving Lexington, Buena Vista and Rockbrigdge County is hosting a series of online marketing workshops during 2015. The workshops are free to our members and we encourage anyone looking to boost their marketing and online presence to attend. The workshops will be held every other month starting in April and will focus on a variety of topics from R.O.I. to creating a new logo for your company. All workshops will be held from 8:30 a.m. - 10 a.m. at BB&T Insurance, 539 East Nelson Street.

Chamber of Commerce Appoints Executive Director

December 10, 2014 – Lexington, Va. – The Board of Directors announced today the selection of Tracy E. Lyons to serve as the Executive Director of the Chamber of Commerce Serving Lexington, Buena Vista and Rockbridge County ( Tracy will succeed Sammy Moore, who is retiring after more than twenty years of service in this role. A proven leader and an active, passionate member of the Chamber community, Lyons brings the dynamic combination of vision, leadership, management skills, Chamber experience, local perspective and strong community pride to this critical role.

Lyons’ professional experience includes management and leadership, event planning, membership development, creative design, strategic communications and social media strategy. For the past four years, she has served as the Director of Communications and Programs for Omicron Delta Kappa National Headquarters in Lexington. In this capacity, she directed all public relations and communications for the National Headquarters, served as editor of their national magazine, The Circle (published three times annually), led website development, social media strategy and served as event planner. Previously, Lyons held the title of Membership Recruitment Consultant for Alpha Omicron Pi International Headquarters in Nashville, Tenn., where she assisted 54 of the 108 active chapters with the development of year-round recruitment initiatives and education.
