New Assistant Director/Membership Coordinator

We would like to introduce to the membership the newest member of the Chamber team:  Elizabeth Braddy.  We are very pleased to announce that Elizabeth was hired after a very extensive search of many qualified candidates.  This summer the Board reassessed it’s needs and decided this needed to be a full-time position.  The job has changed significantly and additional responsibilities have been added since the assessment.  Here is a little of Elizabeth’s background:

She was born in Martinsville, Virginia and moved to Raleigh, NC to attend both Peace and Meredith Colleges.  After college she stayed in Raleigh and began a career in marketing and public relations.  She has appeared on monthly television and radio cooking shows, exhibited at trade shows around the United States and presented numerous live demonstrations to government and civic organizations.  Additionally, she has successfully raised funds for charitable organizations. 

What's New at Your Business?

Hopefully the title will help us to help you with keeping up-to-date on what is happening in your business or what is happening in our area’s business world.  We would like to be more proactive about things that are going on around and with your business.  Items such as awards that you receive or special recognition or new additions (new employees).  We hear lots of conversations but sometimes we do not know all that is going on or not know all the facts.  We would like to be able to mention something in our newsletter or email service.  So please feel free to share your information with u

New Chamber Benefits Cards Available

The Chamber will soon be sharing our new marketing plan with the membership.  Part of the plan is to do more with and to be more proactive with our Chamber Benefits Card program.  We began the program about three years ago with the intent of bringing more traffic to your business.  Since your membership dues are based on your number of employees, each of your employees is a member of the Chamber, who should receive the same benefits as the owners and managers.  It is what we at the Chamber have always called the “buy local” part of your customers base (the four
