We will be holding our last social media seminar for the year on Wednesday morning, October 29th at 8:30am. Jamie Goodin, Web Specialist at W&L, will once again lead our program. The topic will be “Revisiting Social Media Strategy for Your Business”. A lot has changed since we visited this subject last spring and Jamie will update us on new products plus talk about updates on ones we use everyday. He will also help you individually with choosing the appropriate social media sites for your business and best practices. Again, we would like to thank Jamie for his help and willingness to provide us with this valuable information. We are proud to co-sponsor this event with Main Street Lexington.
The final installment for this year’s “Business Smarts Lexington” program will be held Friday, October 17th at Cornerstone Bank beginning at 8:15 a.m. titled “Business Storytelling is the New Marketing”. Questions that will be answered include: what captivating stories does your business have to tell; what is your history, characters, happy endings, etc; organization stories bringing facts and figures to life and inviting customers to engage with you in a personal way; how you can use these stories to inform your customers about your products and goals. Plan on being with us on the 17th at Cornerstone Bank. A light breakfast will be served. The event goes from 8:15 a.m.—9:45 a.m. and a $10 fee is required.
On Tuesday, October 21st the Government Relations Committee will be holding a Candidates’ Forum for the Lexington City Council: Chuck Smith, Mary Harvey-Halseth, Patrick Rhamey and David Sigler. The event will be held at the Hampton Inn Col Alto beginning at 5:30pm. We anticipate the forum will not last longer than 60 minutes. There are prepared questions that have been sent to the candidates and each will have three minutes to respond.
